Thanks to her latest movie, Gal Gadot’s ripped body and amazing stamina has been the talk of the town lately. What’s even more surprising is the fact that she did all her stunts while being five months pregnant, proving that she is indeed Wonder Woman in real life.
We all agree that Gal is super fit, but ever wonder how she achieved that? One thing’s for sure – that healthy bod wasn’t built within a day:
1. Drink a lot of water
Gal confessed that she keeps herself hydrated by drinking lots of water. This is also verified by her trainers. They advised drinking at least a gallon of water every day, as it helps you curb cravings and stay energised throughout your gym sessions.
2. Eat lots of green vegetables
Green is the way to go. Green, leafy vegetables have high calcium, vitamin K, and minerals that are essential to build strong bones. They also improve your metabolism, which helps with staying fit. The iron present in green vegetables also gives you more energy for the gym.
3. Lots of protein too
Protein is great for keeping you full so you don’t crave for junk food all the time. It also regulates your metabolism, just like green vegetables.
4. Try boxing
Gal likes boxing and other types of martial arts. She does this every time she trains along with other exercises. The trick is to mix an activity you like with other exercises to ensure your body gets a full workout.
5. Train daily
As we said earlier, there’s no shortcut to becoming as fit as Gal. You certainly can’t do it within a week, or a month! To get to where she is, Gal trained daily for six months. She spent at least six hours in the gym everyday! You don’t need exercise for long hours – the key is to keep exercising and do it daily.
6. 30-second push-ups and planks
The secret is out for this one! If you want killer biceps like Gal, you have to really work for it. Her trainer revealed that you’ll need to do push-ups for 30 seconds, followed by planking for another 30 seconds. Repeat these two four times every day and you’ll definitely see some results soon.
7. Do cardio intervals
Gal’s style for cardio involves two minutes of sprinting on the treadmill, followed by two minutes of slow jogging. This is repeated for two to three times.
8. Sleep is essential
Part of the routine of staying fit is also to have sufficient sleep daily. Gal’s trainers suggest a minimum of seven to eight hours of uninterrupted sleep. Sleep is important to recover your physical and mental strength. If you wake up feeling groggy, that means your body has not fully recovered from activities of the day before.
