At the helm of AurBina Sdn Bhd, a private design and construction company, are two good buddies. Encik Hashim Abdul Rahim and Mr Wong Tong Wai both founded the company in 2010. They are currently based in Taman Seputih, Kuala Lumpur.
After graduating, Hashim began his career with a Japanese consulting firm and later moved on to a major construction company when he met Wong. From then onwards, the two continued to work together for almost 10 years where they were involved in a variety of projects around Malaysia, Southeast Asia and Japan.
Hashim himself is a qualified architect by profession, and has undertaken design and building projects as far as the Middle East. Wong, on the other hand, is an experienced Quatity Surveyor who also runs AurBina’s construction arm.
“Currently in AurBina, we have expertise in building architecture, interior design and landscape design projects. Our services cater mostly to private home renovation and offices. You can see that our portfolio includes design and renovation work for bungalows, semi-detached homes, terrace houses, condominiums and also office shop lots. Apart from homes, we’ve also constructed private buildings under our ‘design & build’ projects such as small factories, storage buildings and a TNB Sub-Station,” said Hashim, as he explained the construction job package offered which also includes submission matters to the local authorities.
The company provides renovation services that cover plumbing services, tiling installation, flooring installation, electrical wiring, and general contractor and handyman jobs.
AurBina operates with a “Modern Practice Contractor” approach, which means Hashim’s team works very closely with clients. They draw up plans and a working schedule that enable their clients to easily check in on their needs, monitor the project’s work scope and progress. So far, Hashim and Wong have succesfully completed office and home renovation projects in Kuala Lumpur, Kota Damansara, Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya, and the surrounding Klang Valley area as far as Kajang, Nilai and Seremban.
