5 Ways You Can Enjoy a Durian Feast Without Falling Sick

It’s the durian season again. The King of Fruits reign in the markets and its fans will soon be flocking to specialty stalls to enjoy the famous durian buffets. The fruit is said to be rich in vitamins B, C, and E. Its nutrition content also includes calcium and iron.

However, as tasty and healthy the fruit is, too much of it will make you fall sick. If you’re intending on going for one of those all-you-can-eat sessions, make sure you follow these tips:

1. Drink lots of water

Durian is a heaty fruit which can cause symptoms like sore throat. It is also high in glucose, which will cause your body to experience low hydration. To prevent that from happening, make sure you drink lots of water to stay hydrated.

2. Eat more greens after your buffet

Remember to add more green leafy vegetables to the meal after your durian buffet session. Durians can be quite high in cholesterol, hence you need vegetables like kale and collard greens to help lower it.

3. Have some mangosteens

Mangosteens have anti-inflammatory properties, a great fruit to have after consuming heaty stuff like durians. It’s also said to be effective in maintaining the body’s blood sugar levels.

4. Add some lemon into your water

Too much durian can cause bloating and can be very uncomfortable for some people. Lemon is good for your digestive system and can help get rid of the bloating.

5. Avoid oily food
