Meredith, an intern with us, shares her journey so far and what she thinks about working at Kaodim.
Q: Can you tell us more about yourself?
A: “Well, I am studying Law at the University of Cambridge, a degree that requires
a lot of reading and hmm.. reading again. I met many cool people with brilliant
ideas and goals in life in university. This really sparked my interest in
entrepreneurship and is partly the reason I decided to join Kaodim.”
Q: So what else motivated you to join Kaodim?
A: “The founders are really cool and I knew I would enjoy working with them the
first time we met. Especially when working in such a small team, the people you
are working with really shape your experience. Also, I must say that I was really
impressed by the team’s clear vision and direction. With such a concrete action
plan, I am confident that Kaodim’s growth would accelerate.”
Q: Can you tell us more about your experience with Kaodim?
A: “Second to none. That’s how I will describe my experience. I have had a few
different working experiences but working with Kaodim, where everyone is
motivated and passionate is just so inspiring. I was given responsibilities on
various tasks, from cold calling to marketing, recruiting and advertising. Given
the speed of growth of the company, every day is a new day and we have to
adopt new strategies to maximise our productivity. I must say that I am really
amazed by the speed of growth of Kaodim and the skills I acquired since joining!”
Q: What do you look forward to the most?
A: “There’s so much going on that everything is exciting to me. This is definitely
not that standard 9-5 job where you look forward to Fridays! One of the things
that I am really excited about is the release of a new website for Kaodim. The team had been
working really hard on building it and we are really excited to get customers and
vendors to try out our new website!”
Q: What will you miss the most when you are back in the UK?
A: “Everything! I never thought I could build my own startup but after this
experience, nothing is impossible. The friends I made, the experience I gained
and the skills I acquired were fantastic! I wished I had more time in Malaysia.
Also, I must say that I would miss the awesome dinner prepared by Jeff! One can
never have enough of such great dinner and company!”
Q: Any last words?
A: “For students that are looking for a unique experience, don’t miss out on this
golden opportunity with Kaodim. You never know, this might be your first step
in becoming the next Richard Branson!”
*Meredith did some exceptional and amazing things for us in Kaodim. She did them better than we ever could. We learned so much from her and we love that our employees can teach us, instead of the other way around- it’s 360 degrees of learning and growth here at Kaodim and that’s how it’ll always be.
